In the Hardware It Wont Let Me Select Microsoft

Hi,

Open device manager and right click on your PC ( the height most icon in device director ) and and so click on "add legacy hardware"

this volition enable you lot to search yous PC for drivers and select it.

Information technology will also enable you to select your device.

Encounter if any of these provided options permit you install the driver you demand.

where did y'all obtain the driver for your console?

If I oasis't reply to yous for longer time information technology could be my PC was seized by FBI.

Try installing the windows 7 driver from the link below and restart the PC and bank check. This did resolve the issue on my HP viii.one laptop.

Xbox 360 Wireless Controller under Gaming.

I downloaded the Win seven 64-bit version since Win 8 isn't available. I've also installed the driver from the disc that came with the receiver, which if I call up is an outdated version for Win 7 64-bit as well. Device Manager failed to find that either.

And I tried installing the 32-flake version too, didn't change a thing.

I have. Twice. Just in instance, in uninstalled Xbox 360 Accessories from Programs and Features and downloaded/installed the driver yous linked simply now, so restarted the computer. Unfortunately, zero changed. Device Manager won't prove the driver, and there isn't an Xbox 360 Peripherals in the devices listing which I recall is supposed to exist there. It isn't, even later I ticked "Show hidden devices".

I don't think the commuter is the problem. Maybe the drivers will show if I tin get Device Manager to let me change the device from USB to Xbox peripheral, just equally of now, it won't let me.
